What preventative measures are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses, sickness, or germs?
I have increased actions drastically for our opening and closing cleaning and disinfectant responsibilities, taking extra care with more surfaces that usually were cleaned on a weekly basis. Also I am cleaning and disinfecting extensively after each client, I have extended the turnaround times between clients to best prepare for the next and to allow extra time ensuring each surface, tool, or other necessary items are completely cleaned, disinfected and put away as soon as possible. I have always followed California State Board guidelines for best sanitation and disinfecting practices, but have taken those guides a step further with following CDC recommendations as well to best protect all of us.
Do I have to wear a mask/ facial covering?
In order for us all to remain healthy and for my business to remain open we will be complying with mask requirements. I will also be wearing a mask. I do understand it can be physically and emotionally uncomfortable but at this time we must participate in the recommendations that the CDC is providing. If/when this changes we will be sure to let you know.
What are your plans to protect me and yourself since the service I am booking cannot be conducted 6 feet away?
Some new protocols have been put in place to prevent the spread of COVID 19. I will be wearing a face mask, face shields (during skin treatments, gloves during all services. This may include me wearing gloves during services where I typically may not have in the past. I will be washing my hands even more so than before and using sanitizer in-between hand washing as well. Soap and hand sanitizer are available for your use as well. If at any point you need something that you cannot find - please just ask.
Are your cleaning products safe?
Yes, our cleaning products are QUAT (quaternary ammonium compound) free. We use the Rejuvenate brand which is a hospital-grade disinfectants powered by Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide that is EPA and FDA registered, non-irritating to the skin and eyes, and also fragrance-free. Both are CA State Board compliant cleaning products that are EPA Certified and have been tested for safety and effectiveness. I have also introduced a HIGH heat Sterilizer for all facial implements, tweezers, and scissors.
How often are you cleaning?
California State Board guidelines for thorough cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting have always been followed in my practice, however I have now taken them a step further to incorporate more sanitary practices each day and between each client.
Also between clients I have left more time to thoroughly clean and disinfect the treatment room before the next client arrives. During these breaks I will also be wiping down any areas of Holistic Harmony that has been visited that includes an emphasis on all door handles, front desk, counter tops, ipad, facial equipment and tools, restroom, sink area and products and all other high touch objects/areas.
Will you be supplying mask and/or gloves for customers?
As of now I do have a few extra masks if you have not arrived with one - but because of the high demand of prevention supplies, the shortage of these necessary items and the increase in the cost, I do hope you bring a cloth mask to your appt.
What changes have been made to your services other than what has been mentioned above?
Waxing is done quickly and safely with less time to chat before and after.
Facials - your skin is still getting the advanced care and product treatments. The one change being that hand and foot massage will not be offered as part of the Specialty and Cadillac Facials for the foreseeable future. This is to one decrease the opportunity to spread particles from the hand/ feet to the face. This is also allowing necessary space to ensure adequate time for disinfection between clients.
